NOW AVAILABLE – Ready to Run Brass locomotive
The 44 class diesel electric locomotive was the second most numerous class of diesel locomotive used on the New South Wales railway system with 100 units in service.
It was based on the Alco (USA) DL-500 “World” design.
An additional 37 similar locomotives were purchased by the South Australian railways and were known as the 930 class.
The project is a joint venture involving Bergs Hobbies, Haskell and O-Aust Kits and is being manufactured in China.
It is being produced as a ready to run locomotive only.
